- Apply a Crabgrass Preventer such as Pennington Crabgrass Preventer* prior to March in the southern half of the United States and prior to April in the northern half of the United States.
- Choose a product that contains fertilizer for cool season grasses such as Fescue.
- Choose a product that does not contain fertilizer or contains low nitrogen for warm season grasses such as Bermuda.

- Apply a Weed and Feed such as Pennington Weed and Feed* with a N-P-K of 25-4-6 from early to late spring as temperatures permit.
- Apply at temperatures below 85°.
- Apply when the grass is moist so that the herbicide will stick to the weeds.
- Apply when no rain is expected for 48 hours.
- Avoid mowing 1 to 2 days before and after application.
- DO NOT reseed for at least 3 to 4 weeks after application.
- DO NOT apply to newly seeded or sodded lawns until 60-90 days after germination.
- Avoid contact with desirable vegetation.
- May retreat if necessary in 30 days.
- ALWAYS FOLLOW LABEL DIRECTIONS.
